HI all,

Well I must say, this year is just flying by.

The fact that it’s easter this weekend simply blows my mind.

I must get out of doors and start to enjoy this wondrous spring at some point during the weekend.

Everyone has told me for years that on Easter weekend Death Valley is the place to be. The desert turns into a never ending field of different kinds of wild flowers. The flowers carpet the dunes and from what I am told it is one of the greatest sights one can ever behold.

Perhaps I shall try and make that adventure happen in celebration of this lovely time of year.

I am sitting here nibbling on the ear of a chocolate bunny and remembering all the easters of my childhood. My mother and I always wore white and I always thought it was funny that the bunny would put jellybeans on fresh grass as they would be goo by the time I got to them. Tasty goo none the less.

I once found an easter egg three months late hidden in a drain pipe. The odd things was that It hadn’t been there the day before nor the week before, I was positive of this as I passed that spot every day. It was all discolored and it smelled terrible but for some reason I thought it was a huge symbol of good luck, an omen if you will that the faeries that i believed existed in that particular garden were one hundred percent real and had presented me with this egg to show me that they appreciated my offerings that I regularly left for them. My mother had told me that they loved honey and milk and tiny trinkets that they might find useful. I bet many of those offerings are still buried there in that old garden…….unless they took them with them.

Allo folks!

Wow!, just realized that I haven’t checked in on my website or written a blog in far too long.

Alot has been happening with the Candle company I am happy to say!

Onc we got our rep and did the LA gift show, wholesale orders started pouring in and I am quite pleased to say that they still are!!! Basically getting this company really up and going and turning it into the smooth working machine that it needs to be has been a real experience. I cannot really think of anything that could be farther from the work that I am used to. but I have enjoyed it immensely.

I have always loved inventing scents and having been obsessed with essential oils and perfumery for the last decade or so finally ended up having a use to it! Q’uelle surprise! ( probably spelled that wrong). One thing though is that it IS all consuming. It takes up every moment of every day and I really have not had time to do much of anything else. I must learn to delegate more wisely. I am used to doing everything myself so learning to teach others this new skill I have in my quiver has been interesting. Once the company is firmly established I will be able to move forward with other projects I am sure.

The Gatos are all doing fine and Gingey the great Ginger cat has fully recovered from his asthma (knocks on wood) which is a true blessing. The great big art space is now the great big factory space! There is much work to be done in terms of it’s style and decoration as It is such a raw space. Definitely needs some plants….hmmm. I am looking forward to that, i LOVE interior design and more than that I Love designing!!!

I haven’t come across anything film-wise that tickled my fancy which is just as well seeing as I have been so busy with the candle line. I have faith that the right one will come when it’s meant to.

I have really been noticing spring this year in all of it’s glory. It seems to be coming rather early. The weather has been mild and absolutely story book perfect in LA. I miss the greenness of Canada and Britain in the spring but I find it here and there poking it’s head through the cracks in the pavement and in the trees and front gardens. I have half a mind to build a sort of solarium section in the art space /factory. It would be great to have a place to have lunch surrounded by orchids and plants. It is very grey and made entirely of cement so adding a few green friends would be nice….. There I go again… babbling about plants!

I will take photos and post them eventually I will will will!!. Right now though it is all in full industrial mode and not as pleasing to the eye as I would like.

I am starting to really miss playing music and making art and hopefully soon I will be able to finally get my kickstarter up and active. So many projects I want to do…. so little time and budget….. but ALL IN GOOD TIME!

I have developed an unhealthy obsession with a British TV show called “The Mighty Boosh”. Its addictive! I swear it is! -that is if you’re into British Humour. The show is absolutely ridiculous and absolutely brilliant at the same time. Check it out if you can find it. I found it first on You tube. Just search “Crack fox and it should pop up. Itll give you a good rather odd but good giggle.

Kyle Cassidy my fairly new and good friend and I are working on a book together of photographs he has taken of me:)

I love his work and I am very excited about it, he is also a really wonderful guy which makes it all that much more of an honour and all that much more fun to do this project together.

We shot our first session over the course of a day last year in Los angeles and we had a ball. He shoots so fast!!! I was blown away that someone could shoot that fast and spontaneously and come out with such great photographs.

We are hoping to shoot some more for the book this year :)

Anyhoo…..

I am so pleased to announce that I will soon be making available for purchase on this site a gorgeous poster that he has made of my favorite photograph from that session!!!!

The posters will be available numbered and signed and we wil only be printing up a limited amount as this is a special sort of sneak peek at what the book will be like.

I am so honored that he has come up with this idea and I Love shooting with him so I am really happy and am looking forward to continuing the process of making this book a reality:)

Well what can I say about 2011………

It’s been one hell of a year!

So many upheavals, tragedies and blessings ……

I watched our planet go berserk.

I watched hundreds, then thousands then hundreds of thousands of people stand up to their respective governments and refuse to be

pushed around anymore.

I saw great compassion in humanity, great acts of selflessness and kindness happening, despite Massive losses.

The world is finally waking up.

This is something that I have been waiting to see happen for most of my life.

So often we feel as though our voices, our opinions, our stories cannot be heard or wouldn’t make a difference but this year we saw that they can make a difference and they do in many ways.

This past year it seems to me that much of the crap/hypocrisy/ lying hidden under the surface of people’s facades were revealed and some people are starting to be revealed for what they really are. The Truth about people is almost always revealed in the end and Karma is ……… well…… a bitch.! Hah! what goes around comes around-ya better believe it! Right!?I believe that here in the west people have grown weary of Bull****.

They don’t want to be fed another line of nonsense and turn a blind eye or ear and it’s about time!

People have realized that if they want to have a planet for their children to live on that isn’t some nightmarish place out of a bad science fiction novel then we really need to get on it and change our ways as a species. This awakening makes me very happy and fills me with hope.

It seems like 2011 was unbelievably Long in so many ways and just the opposite in others.

I personally am SO glad to be moving on to a New Year.

I feel positive about 2012.

I think it’s going to be a better year then this last one was.

We all need to take a long deep breath and pat ourselves on the back for getting through 2011! am I right!?

I realized that I accomplished several pretty large goals I had set for myself last New Year’s Eve

I Wrote and finished 2 kids books!

I released my first Single to the world (albeit quietly but I am happy about that also)!

I started the process of creating my own company!

I can’t believe I managed to do all those things! I am proud of myself and I cannot wait to embark on more and also to expand on these things that I have laid the groundwork for. I want to get my books published and I want to put out and record more music, and many many other things!.

The company is coming along fabulously and I am SO excited about it.

All in all I am counting my blessings and realizing that I am a very lucky human being.

We here in the west forget how good we have it.There will always be things we long for and strive to achieve but we must remember to be thankful for the things we DO have. This is what is on my mind right now.

Anyways, I want to wish all of you a wonderful New Year’s Eve wherever you are in the world.:)

Hello people!

It’s been a while I know but as you might have noticed I guess I am not one of those gals who writes into her blog every single day.

If you have been following me on twitter or Facebook you may have heard about the Massive scare I had With My beloved Mackerel Tabby Gingy. It seems he had a massive reaction out of the blue right after a huge storm of The Santa Anna winds that blew through Los Angeles. These winds come in from off of the desert and give many people terrible allergies. I didn’t know Cats could Have asthma attacks but evidently they can and It is very serious as they are frequently misdiagnosed as was Gingey. Thanks to your many prayers and candles you lit and Great Help from The folks at the Sepulveda VCA animal hospital Gingey is still with us. He is still fighting the good fight but is also still struggling. Anyway I wanted to write this to thank you all personally from the bottom of my heart for your support, your kindness and all of the Prayers you sent him. He thanks you as well.

This has been a turbulent year for me. Big ups and big downs. I made an Indie movie, started developing My own Line of scented candles, wrote a ton more music, made art and decided that I am going to commit myself to recording an album’s worth of music.

I realized that I have been writing and Playing for so many years now that I could probably make six albums but recording and releasing one would be a start.

I have reached a point in my life where I have a strict no Bull**** policy firmly in place. I did alot of closet cleaning this year, friend wise, baloney wise and general all over life wise. You have to look at your priorities.

In my opinion, creating is the greatest achievement and expression of being alive, at least it is for me.

I have been doing it for years In the different mediums that I employ to keep my so called “sanity” however I only recently really realized that It might be a good idea to share some of it.

Thanks to My friend Neil Gaiman I was introduced to the kickstarter website. This truly is an amazing site. If you haven’t already heard of it you should check it out. Basically it provides a platform for artists and creatives to raise funds through pledges to achieve their artistic goals and one of the coolest things about kickstarter is that You know That by pledging you had a hand In making these different projects into a reality.

So Tonight I am sitting down and figuring out what I can offer to those who choose to pledge.

Basically I want to make an album and I want to film the process If I can.

I am computer challenged so It might take some time to get this up but I am going to set my sights on it and Get it done.

I will try to write in more often and go into more detail about this project.

For now, I am off to find dinner and give Gingey His meds,
