Beauty products and secrets
Steaming your skin and keeping it as clean as possible is the most important thing. You must use good products if you can as you only have one face. Well that depends, some have thousands!!! Anyway, if you can get facials, do. If you cannot afford them, and there are times when none of us can, make sure that once a week you make special time for yourself, and treat yourself to several hours of pampering.
My family has several beauty secrets that really work. We have great knowledge of herbs and that is very handy. I suggest using an essential oils burner and run a hot bath, put some rose, sandalwood or lavender oil in, or your favorite mix, with some sea salt or bath salts. Mix and soak it all away. Also, if you’ve been having a rough week, take hyssop and make a strong tea, with about a cup of hyssop to 3 cups water. Add this to your bath, and it helps to remove stress, toxins and anything else you may want to get rid of. Do a mask or two, give yourself a manicure and pedicure. Massage your body with love, treat it well and it will reward you. You’ll feel beautiful too! Simply steaming your face gently once a week will totally change your complexion! Do not pick at your skin. For acne, mix a small amount of turmeric in water and apply to affected area. Turmeric is a great anti-inflammatory and antibacterial/antisepic, and works wonders both inside the body and out.
By the way, I am not sponsored by any of these companies (too bad for me!), I’m just telling you what I love! :)
Beauty products I have to have:
- Nars black eyeliner
- Dermalogica tinted moisturizer
- Mac under eye cover up
- Mac spice lip pencil or nars in Marnie
- A good round brush for hair
- Vitamin D (bottle of it for skin) great for scars
- Monoi gardenia body oil from tahiti
- L’Occitane amber body cream (the one in the jar)
- I love good soaps. Can’t stand cheap bad soap, because I have very sensitive skin.
Recently, I found a company called “Protective Nourishment” and it has completely changed my skin. I have been doing a complete regimen and it has paid off in spades. It is a good idea to change products every six months or so though, because your skin needs different things at different times. The products that have worked great for in this line are:
- Berry energizing face wash
- Pumpkin wine elixir toner
- Vitamin C serum (amazing)
- Pumpkin face mask peel (amazing)
- Pure Herbal Scrub mask
These products have been great, and my skin looks completely different. Just saying, this is what I’ve been using and it’s great. Smells good too :)

Cool. As far as the Turmeric I have been using it 500mg twice a day for a few months for it’s anti-inflammatory properties,(I over did it with a workout or two and do NOT use over the counter anti-inflammatory’s, nor will I use a prescribed med if it has ANY serious side effects.,,Question,,what is a fragrance you think smells nice for a man?
This is great advice, I’m trying the turmeric right now. Please add more when you get a chance!
very similar to aryavedic stuff <3 it
If you like good soaps and you seem to enjoy craftiness, you should definitely try to do own soap. Also you could combine your own scents to soaps.
