Hello World..yummy treat recipes……
Hello! and How are you all?:)
This is just a quick note to say hello:0
Spring has been schizophrenic in LA. August Heat one day and Overcast the next! Keeps things interesting:)
I have been battling away with my book. I get it to the place where i think everything is done and then I discover I have to redo an entire section.Still though…. I am learning alot and I love the process. I am at my best when learning and actively exploring a new subject that I am passionate about:)!
Last night I “tweeted” about some new recipes I tried, That came out quite delicious So I thought I would share one of them with you:)
I am normally quite the carnivore but I hadn’t been shopping so I used what I had left from the Farmer’s Market.
The Kale BTW is THE BEST. I know, it may not sound that appetizing to some of but you will munch it all down if you try it. I got this recipe from a Great blog I follow sometimes called Door sixteen.:)Many thanks to them for this recipe:)
CRISPY KALE CHIPS
1 bunch of fresh Kale.
Olive oil
Lemon juice
Sea salt
Preheat Oven to 300 degrees.
Take the Kale and cut out the inner stalk. Wash thoroughly and dry it well ( you want to get all that sandy dirt out).
Put it all in a bowl and pour some olive oil over it,squeeze some lemon juice over it (make sure not to let the seeds fall in!)and sprinkle it with Sea salt. You don’t want it to be soggy but you do want to make sure that all of the kale has been gently covered in the olive oil Lemon juice salt mix. Take 2 cookie sheets and lay the kale out .You want it to be one layer for each cookie sheet. Put it in the over for 20- 30 minutes .You want it to just start browning but make sure it doesn’t burn. The Kale will shrivel up into salty savory crisps.
They are absolutely Yummy (at least to me!).and I am not usually into hyper healthy sounding recipes but this one really is good.
OK, enough writing, It’s time to go back to book land:)!
much love to you all
