New Things..Origami…winter skies……

Hello guys:)

I had a good day today. It was kind of grey and a bit chilly and I love that. This year I am actually excited for the christmas season. The horribly evil repetitive x-mass musak I could do without Granted…. But apart from that I am happy that the winter season is in full swing.

Thanksgiving was a roaring success and I WILL post recipes as promised:)

I am really excited about a bunch of new possibilities. My children’s Book is currently being edited. YAY!

I’ve written a bunch of new material and am going to be filming a video for my single (AWESOME!).

I am really into surreallist type videos, Really artistic and creative ones as opposed to the norm.

There will be no flaunting of “jing” or Bentleys or naked women ( sorry guys) but it WILL be beautiful that I guarantee. It will never see the light of day otherwise.

I am milling around the idea of doing a poetry/song/short story/ my writing/ book and doing it collaboratively, i.e. mixing it with photographs and artwork. It will require a bit more thought but I think I’m gonna do it.

Having had very good reception to the idea vis a vis my wonderful fans/friends I am now more motivated than ever.

I’ve decided to make an origami christmas tree this year so I have learnt the art of origami! As far as youtube and books can take you anyways!

I will post the recipes soon. I have been busy what with my brother being in town e.t.c. But am Happy to report That I am well and excited and literally buzzing with ideas of all the cool things I want to do and will do In the coming months.

I want to say also that your feedback and support makes a huge difference to me and has made a big impact.

This may sound vary strange to some of you but, I never really realized I had fans until recently. You see for me, I go to work, Eventually I finish the film, It gets released and that’s that. There is no feedback, no audience like you would have as a band or in a play. Learning that you guys have followed and enjoyed my work all these years means more to me than I can put into words. In many ways It totally validates all the hard work and all the sacrifice that I’ve Put into my career as an actor and as an artist in general.

In short I love you all and am indescribably grateful to you all for your support , comments, Love and friendship.

I mean it.

Night night all

I love autumn days too…dark grey skies and a lovely chill in the air. So refreshing and just a great time of year.
You should see if you can get a massive piece of origami paper and make a near to full sized tree, that would be amazing.
I think that a book of writing/poetry/photography would be amazing and hopefully by the time it comes out I will have a job and can buy it!
Oh and speaking of…any chance you might do some prints of your art? There are a couple that I really love, but a poor ole guy like me could never afford an original.
Basically all that rambling is my way of saying you have fans and we love you as much as you love us.

It kinda makes sence you didnt understand you have fans while you were making the films because like you said its not a instant feedback like live plays or music but yeah you defenately built up a pretty decent fanbase i know this because obviously i have liked you in so many movies and all my friends like you too and yeah newsflash you are a great actress and very famous obviously. The video sounds awesome and i never expected flashing of bentleys and naked women from you but im excited to see what you come up with because i never expected a video so im excited to see what you come up with…Happy holidays from canada !!!

I still think it’s cool that when you starred in “The Worst Witch” that Tim Curry was in it too. I remember watching that around Halloween when I was young.
I’m looking forward to reading your children’s book. Please keep us posted when it’s published!
You should have your signed copy of my book by Thursday. I do hope you enjoy it!

As far as fandom goes, I gotta say I really have a lot of respect for you. I think one of the coolest things that your an actress, that’s one of the main things you do and it’s your job. You’ve worked with some amazing talent some of which that have won Oscars and you’ve had a huge variety of roles from The Craft to Waterboy to voice work in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (best game in the series.) Then there’s your music, painting, and you’re writing a children’s book.

All of this and you honestly seem so humble. The cool thing is that you have all of this talent and you’ve managed to accomplish so many things that millions of people would love to do and you act so down to Earth and don’t let the success get to your head. It’s also cool how you manage to keep your personal life personal, with so many actors they manage to end up having to watch their every move or it’s on the cover of a tabloid, but you manage to be the artist without the baggage that comes along with the celebrity. Another great thing I respect is that with your website and Twitter how you can talk with your fans from anywhere and when you can, you use that to let people know about real issues like the persecution your people in Fance which the US media isn’t talking about because it doesn’t involve a celebrity sex tape or other celeb scandals. You just get to be you and stand up for what you believe and as your fans, that really gives us all the more reason to respect Fairuza Balk. It’s also very awesome how nice you are and always making the time for your fans when you can.

The poetry/art book sounds like it would be lovely! It’s really special (and rare) to be able to interact with artists you’re a fan of, so thank you for taking the time to make that possible : ) Infinite XOXOs and best wishes in all that you do!

Fairuza your the greatest! I have followed your career ever since I saw your first movie, I was hooked. Your acting is captivating and original, and that smile, wow, you have the most beautiful smile, truly one of a kind. I’ll always be a fan and I really like the cool stuff you have been doing lately, keep up the great work and Merry Christmas

I think that’s one of the best photos of you that i’ve seen, i love it. Have a great silly season Fairuza, luvs ya.

It’s hard to believe that you weren’t very aware of your loyal and loving fanbase. You and I are close to the same age and I’ve liked you since the days of “Return To Oz” and “The Worst Witch”, which I remember watching when it originally aired. I have always enjoyed your work and considered you one of the finest actresses in the business, but until I ran across you on Twitter recently I was completely unaware of your music, poetry and other artistic proclivities. Since then my respect and admiration for your talent has only grown. I have also been very impressed with how you interact with your fans on the various social networking sites, and the respect with which we’re treated by you. It is most appreciated.
You seem to be a very humble, down to earth and sweet person, and I look forward to any and all future work you wish to present us with. May you have a joyous holiday season.

I’m looking forward to the music video. I think the majority of music videos have gotten stale and cookie-cutter over the last few decades… Except of course, for ZZ Top’s “Breakaway.” ;-)

Anyway, good luck. And thanks again for my “Stormwinds” CD. I love it. :-D

I always thought that you’ve been familiar with origami before, don’t really know why, just suits you, I guess. I can curve up myself a few insects and some simple ones. My favourite one is this little guy http://www.origami-instructions.com/origami-spider.html
I remember getting that origami sickness right after Blade Runner sickness a few years ago.
And we won’t need any naked women in your video clip as long as you’re planning to look as good as on this picture.

  12. Justin

“The Craft” is my favorite of yours. That and “Personal Velocity”.

Wonder what you’re doing now besides making movies among other things.

Hi, Fairuza. I’ve been a fan of your career from the time I saw you in “Gas Food Lodging,” which remains my favorite film. Even though I’m a guy, I really related to Shade as my dad was missing for much of my life. I really respect the way you’ve led your own independent path instead of taking the easy, commercial road.

Also, I just purchased your song from Amazon, and it’s awesome! The song, as well as your voice, is moody in the best possible way.

  15. Fairuza

How much do you freakin rock!!! Thank you SOOO much!!!!
