Dios De Los Muertos/Halloween in LA

I went to The Hollywood forever cemetary where they have an annual feast for the day of the dead. There were hundreds of people all in costumes and all with day of the dead face makeup on it was brilliant! I cannot believe I never went before It was so much fun!!! As many of you In Other countries may not know about the day of the dead celebrations here in LA I thought I would post a bunch of pictures so that you could share the experience!:) I had run out of time to get a costume together so I went as a Flamenco Dancer (I have several full flamenco skirts and outfits because I dance.)These were taken with my Iphone so please forgive if they are a little blurry, You will still be able to get a feel for the evening I hope:)

I Absolutely Love this time of the Year and I am so happy that i get to show you some of what t’s like here:)

Hope you like em!!

Love and Happy Halloween

Awesome report, Fairuza, thank you very much!
I bet you wasn’t the only one walking with a phone taking pictures out there.
Also your flamenco costume is pretty damn dark, at first I thought it was some female ninja costume of sort, but then I read the entry and there it was, a Flamenco Dancer!
What was the idea for your costume you didn’t have time to finish? Please don’t answer if you decided to leave the concept for the next year, I don’t want to ruin the surprise Ü

Thanks for the photos and sharing. Actually this is only the second time I have heard mention day of the dead as pertaining to this, the first was in a movie, I cant recall the name of it, something, “blood in blood out”, anyways, thanks Fairuza

Wow… I generally consider myself to be a fairly culturally aware person- but I had no idea this happened… Looks amazing!
