Been busy recording

I’m so excited, we’ve finished recording my first single, and we’re going to begin mastering. It feels like I’ve waited so long to be able to share my music with you. The single will be coming out soon!

Can’t wait to hear it!!! I know it will be great because you don’t seem like the kind of artist that will put their stamp of approval on anything unless your heart and soul is in it. I will be in a race to get a copy of it when it is released…hope to get a signed copy :)

Preordered. Your cover of “I Want You To Be My Baby” on the Humboldt County soundtrack is addictive! I don’t really expect anything like that but eager to hear what you’ve got up your sleeve.

Hi! I liked the preview of Stormwinds. I could have sworn that you had a list of guitars and amps you were using but I can’t find it now. Since I have been playing guitar for going on 25 years, this is really what interests me most. I never knew you were a musician. (And a good one, at that.) I am very interested in knowing what your current “go to” guitar and amp combos are. For me, money is (and always has) been an object, so I have to obtain good tones as cheaply as possible. This I have been able to do. I only have 2 electrics, 2 acoustics, and 2 amps, none of which are high end pieces. (Believe me, looking at pictures of expensive, professional grade gear is my pornography.)So I would love a bit more commentary from you on the subject, since you actually own such things! I’ll tell you about my (admittedly modest) collection. I have a 1984 Ibanez Destroyer. It’s an X series, those had only one humbucker in the bridge position. I use it for heavy sounds, punk or hard rock. It’s a very loud axe, but if you want it to it will clean up for the blues. Don’t ask her to Country, it’s not in her nature. But that’s OK, that’s what the Telecaster is for. Have you seen those Squier classic vibe reissues? I have the Thinline Telecaster. It will do most anything but Metal. I can get near perfect B.B. King blues sounds out of it, the sustain-clean, unaltered sustain-on this guitar is really impressive. Thank God for cheap guitars. I have a 96 Blueridge BR-OS Dreadnought that I have played more than any other guitar I have ever owned. Literally thousands of hours. These are not worth anything, but difficult to find, since a manufacturing defect causes the glue at the neck joint to fail. I had to have mine reset. I recently got my Father’s old 78 Ovation Balladeer. Interestingly, it too is both scarce and not terribly valuable. At the time Dad bought it, it was as expensive as a D-28 Martin-about 3,000 in today’s dollars. The Lyrachord bowl does not shrink with age, but the wood tops do, so most of them split right down the face. Luckily, mine did not. The Ovation has a gorgeous tone, I can see why Dad chose it over the Martin back in the day. For amps, I have a 45 watt Behringer Acoustic amp and a 65 watt Peavey Bandit. It all sounds better than it ought to.

    Tell me about your guitars!

And I hope all is well with you.
