Although The Craft was a Hollywood blockbuster, Balk says she decided to take the role because she loves playing the bad guy. "It's more fun to be the bad guy and go nuts than to be the one who's pretty and perfect you know?"

There's also the whole Hollywood "schmoozing" game, as Balk calls it, that turns her off wanting the bright lights and the big city. "Im just really bad at it , I cant work a room. You know ,I just end up sitting in the corner and drinking wine and being really quiet. I think LA's just the wrong place foe me."

Bulk has also appeared in The Island of Dr. Moreau, Gas Food and Lodging What Is It?, Things to Do in Denver When Your Dead, Imaginary Crimes and Tollbooth. Her next challenge is the upcoming American History X co-starring Edward Norton.
